If you have a concern about your animal, it’s important to contact a good, preferably holistic, veterinarian. But sometimes you need more than a vet. You need someone who can not only communicate with your animal but can also introduce you to approaches that may be new to you or foreign to your vet.
My lifelong interest in natural health and healing has led me to study and practice a variety of modalities, reflected in the descriptions below. If you choose to let me help you with your animal, I’ll allow my intuition to guide me to the remedy that seems best for the situation. Whether it’s something I can address on the spot, something you’ll administer or practice in your daily routines, or something you’ll work with a specialist on, you’ll have a direction to go.
Although I have knowledge, experience, and certification in a number of animal health practices (including animal communication), I don’t claim to be an expert in all of them. As I’ve noted in the descriptions, some of the methods and remedies on the list require a qualified and certified practitioner that’s not me! I can help you with most of them, though, and in some cases even guide you toward learning to use them yourself.
EFT (Tapping)
If you ‘ve used EFT for yourself, you know how powerful it is. If you haven’t, I recommend you try it! It’s every bit as effective for animals as for humans and it can even be done remotely. So, if it seems appropriate for your animal at any time, I’m happy to help—and I can do it from a distance!
Sound Therapy
Sound frequency is another potent healing tool that I have experience with. Using tuning forks on the body obviously needs to be done in person, though.
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF)
PEMF can do wonders for a myriad of physical and emotional ills. The best PEMF device I’ve found is the Vibe. It’s so amazing, I think we should all have one! With two humans and six animals in the family, we have three Vibes and we keep them all busy! You can learn about it on this website.
Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy is taking the healing industry by storm, and for a good reason. It’s safe, easy, and remarkably effective for both animals and humans. This is the company that I get my red light products from, and they are excellent.
Energy Healing
I’m a certified energy healer and I’ve practiced energy healing on humans and animals for over 20 years. It’s natural for me to do some level of energy healing with most of the animals I connect with, because it’s beautiful and it works!
Flower Essences
Flower essences are an easy and effective way to shift energy for an animal. They really shine when dealing with emotional challenges! I can recommend the appropriate essence, if it’s called for.
Aromatherapy
You may have enjoyed using aromatherapy to shift energy in your home or environment. But the appropriate aroma will go beyond providing a pleasant environment—it can be an aid to healing. It’s important to know, though, that essences that are safe for you may be toxic to your animal friend. If you want to add aromatherapy to your toolkit, we can talk about ways to make the safest and best choice.
Herbs
As an all-natural remedy that bodies recognize and respond to in the best way, herbs remain the go-to for reaching and maintaining optimal health. I give my horses Silver Lining Herbs not only for specific illnesses, but also parasites, inflammation, joint pain, detoxing and more. I love them for their purity, and I have confidence in their proven blends for dogs, horses, or humans. Silver Lining has literally saved the life one of my horses on more than one occasion when no veterinary intervention could help, and they’ve enhanced the health of all my horses for years. Unfortunately, their formulas are only for horses and dogs, but we can work together to find herbal solutions for your cats, goats, birds, and more.
Ayurveda
Although I became interested in Ayurveda over 30 years ago, I’ve used it mostly for people. The same principles apply to animals, though, and I keep them in mind when working with them.
Acupressure
With a little knowledge and practice, you can use acupressure to alleviate pain in your animals. I’ve had animals in crisis respond in minutes when I massaged the right points!
Acupuncture
Some circumstances really call out for acupuncture. If you’re interested in using it for your animal, you’ll need to find a qualified and licensed practitioner in your area. Because acupuncture is so widely accepted these days, that may even be your vet!
TTouch
TTouch is a great way to support the health of your dog or horse and assist you in your training. You can learn the basics rather quickly, so it’s something you may want to consider doing. If, in our consultation, we decide it would help your animal, you may choose to find a local certified TTouch practitioner. You can do that here.
Chiropractic
A good animal chiropractor is a wonderful person to have on your team, especially if you have a horse. A qualified equine chiropractor can provide a lot of relief for the horse suffering from the strain of going under saddle or the stresses that build up when performing certain disciplines.
Massage/Body Work
All animals love and respond positively to therapeutic massage, just like we do! Whether you learn to do bodywork on your horse or hire a professional, your horse will benefit from regular sessions.
Homeopathy
Because homeopathy is completely natural, a lot of people confuse it with naturopathy or natural medicine. In fact, it is a unique medical system that requires committed study to master. That said, there are some common homeopathic remedies that are easy to access and can be remarkably helpful. I’ve used homeopathy exclusively for some of my animals and the results have been immediate and mind boggling. If your animal is struggling with anything deep, complex, or puzzling and homeopathy seems to be the best approach, you’ll need to engage the help of a homeopathic vet (which I’m not!).
Diet and Supplements
What your animal eats establishes the foundation for their health. A simple change in diet or the right supplement can often result in surprising improvements in health and vitality. I’m happy to work with you to find the best protocol for your furry, feathered, or scaled friend!
*Please remember that I offer complementary assistance, not a substitute for professional veterinary care.
